I have two favorite ridiculously easy and yummy sausage recipes. This first one is a recipe from my mum in Austria. Any U.S. readers ever heard of "Pigs in a Blanket?" This is reminiscent of that dish...
Ingredients:
1 pkg puff pastry
1 can Vienna sausages
1 egg yolk
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Wrap a stripe of puff pastry around Vienna sausages.
3. Make the stripe thicker or thinner as you prefer.
4. Cut a cross into the ends of the sausages which should make them curl up when heated.
5. Put egg yolk on top of the pastry, using a brush.
6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

If you haven't seen them already, I encourage you to explore all of the sections of our site. If you can't find what you're looking for quickly enough, then try out Recipe Index page.
Oh, and if you didn't come into the site through the home page, you may not be sure what the whole "thrown together" concept is all about. So have a look at my About the Concept page to learn more...
And won't you contribute a recipe or a cookbook review of your own here?
And in case you didn't notice the links in the right and left columns, there are lots of ways to keep up with other readers' contributions (and my own new pages):
