Each month, I'll be running a recipe contest. December 2009 and we're still just getting this contest thing going! I hope to get as many participants each month as possible, so won't you join in the fun? Not only will this help build the recipe database on this site, but it will also be fun.**

Oh, and did I mention I'll be giving away hand-crafted prizes?

December 2009 Recipe Contest Theme

Each month's contest will have a theme. This will help narrow the field, put everyone on a more equal footing and just be more unique each month, to keep the interest high.

Roast turkey is a traditional holiday meal, and we often have tons of turkey leftovers after the holiday, so I thought it would be great to get new recipes that use turkey. I started this last month, but only got 1 submission, so I'm continuing this into December because I really want more turkey recipes on the site.

But... because it is December, I thought it'd be fun to expand the theme this month to also include your favorite holiday dinners. Again, they should be quick and easy, as that's the theme for this site. They can be meals you make so you'll have time to shop and wrap and decorate... or they could be elegant but easy and festive meals you make to celebrate the holiday. Your choice!

So, create your most interesting, quick and easy turkey dinner recipe or holiday dinner recipe and type of paste it in below, OK? I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

This Month's Prize
