Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

by Mandy
(Melbourne, Australia)

Editor's Note: I love, love, love beef stroganoff! Creamy beef gravy with a tang... yum. But this recipe by Mandy is a bit different from any I've had in the past. Check it out...

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients:

1 pound (0.5 kilos) steak
1 onion, diced
10 to 15 mushrooms, diced
1 T. olive oil

1 T. tomato paste
1 cup (250 ml) sour cream
Egg noodles

Directions:

To make this recipe simply dice up a piece of steak approx. 1/2 kilo. Next, dice up and onion and some mushrooms, cook in olive oil over low heat on stove until onion cooked through.

Add approx. 1 T. of tomato paste (or to your liking) and then add sour cream, approx. 250ml, but again to your liking really, depending on how creamy you like it.

Simmer on low heat whilst you cook up some thick egg noodles.

Yum!

I know noodles are the traditional starch for beef stroganoff, but I actually like it better over rice. So feel free to experiment!
