These gingered sherry pork chops were thrown together on the spur of the moment last night. Just another of my free pork recipes.

Looking for pork chop recipes! You just might like this one. My favorite way of cooking pork chops is to use a little wine, mushrooms, and cream of mushroom soup (see recipe here), but sometimes I want to do something different. Last night was such a time...
So I just kind of used my intuition and came up with this new pork chop hit...
Ingredients:
1 T. minced fresh ginger
4 pork chops
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 cloves minced garlic
Montreal steak seasoning & salt to taste
Olive oil
1/2 cup sherry
1 cup chicken broth
Dash orange zest
Directions:
Season the chops with Montreal steak seasoning and salt to taste. Brown the chops in oil in a large frying pan. Set aside when browned. Add ginger, garlic, and mushrooms to pan, cooking and stirring until tender and browned. Next, add the chops back into the pan and stir in the sherry, loosening any browned bits from the bottom of the pan
Once the wine has cooked down, add in the broth, sprinkle chops with orange zest and cover. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes more.
I served these with scalloped potatoes, because that's what my family loves most, but they'd also be delicious with rice or potatoes.
