If you enjoy meeting like-minded people, you can join our homecooking social network, where throw it together chefs can get together and share recipes, cooking tips and more!

When you find us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter, you'll be able to share, communicate, learn and socialize with other chefs who enjoy throwing meals together the way I do on this site. It's a place for fun, laughter, and making new friends.
It seems the Web these days is all about socializing. I'm a quiet person and not always the most social. It's not that I don't like people; I do, very much, but I'm kind of shy and just used to keeping my own company a lot of the time. So I didn't jump on the Facebook/Twitter bandwagons immediately.
But I do love the online world, so when I started to realize it wasn't just my kids and their peers using the social networks, it was also people from nearly every generation, I began to see that it might make sense to get social with my Thrown Together Meals website too.
I began to see the possibilities of reaching a wider audience... and after all, that's why I built this website... to connect with other homegrown cooks like myself.

So, here we are... I now have a Facebook page for the site, where you can follow our newsfeeds, contribute to the discussions and see what other foodie sites and pages I like.
If you have a Facebook account and go to the page and like it, you'll get notifications of all my latest recipes and cooking tips on your Facebook newsfeed.
You can also join the discussions on my Wall or even post your own favorite recipes, foodie sites and blogs, pictures or videos. It's really up to you how you choose to interact... but PLEASE... do join in the fun there, won't you?

I also have a Twitter account, where I tweet about new things on this site, retweet many of my foodie friends postings and pass along other tidbits of information.
Some of the information that I tweet about is similar to what you'll find on Facebook or even on this site, but I will also create Twitter posts that appear only there too, depending on my mood. PLUS... I have some great foodie friends on Twitter that I will help you discover too.
So, c'mon... what do you have to lose? Follow me on Twitter today!
All this social networking can be great fun, but if you want to interact with me and my readers/contributors right here on this site, you can do that too! ![]()
I have tons of user-generated content here... in the form of recipes, cookbook reviews and more. So, just start looking around on the various recipe pages or the cookbook review page... or just check out the What's New page to find what other readers are contributing here.
I hope that you will join in with our homecooking social network activities. Without you... it means nothing! ![]()
