It takes a kitchen full of cooks...

We are building this Thrown Together Meals site together. What fun! But please understand that while I review every submission, I don't always have time to test or validate them. So, if you find anything wrong with what you find here, then please be sure to leave a comment on the page in question or to email me using my contact form.

Mom's Cranberry Relish

by Mary
(St. Anne's Helper Christmas Traditions)

One of our favorite Homemade Christmas Gifts is a jar of Cranberry Salad. We can make up gallons at a time and it stores in the refrigerator all year long! (We love it and make enough to keep on hand for all of our Turkey and Chicken Dinners!)

We then hand this out to all of our regular friends and acquaintances in small jars on the day before Christmas. The children love to ride with Daddy and be the honored representatives in our family to present these welcome gifts!

Ingredients:

  • One pound bag cranberries
  • One med/lg orange
  • One sm box raspberry jello (dry)
  • Equal volume sugar

Directions:
Process the cranberries and oranges to the consistency you like, small or big chunks. Measure the volume of fruit and add that same volume of sugar. Sprinkle in the jello powder. Stir and enjoy!

Thank You - I Appreciate Your ContributionI'd just like to emphasize how much I value my visitors' contributions. You're helping to build a really dynamic, chock-full recipe site. I appreciate that, because there's only so many recipes I can create and document myself. With all of us working together, we can do great things!

If you haven't already, I encourage you to explore all of the sections of our site. If you can't find what you're looking for quickly enough, then try out Recipe Index page.

Oh, and if you didn't come into the site through the home page, you may not be sure what the whole "thrown together" concept is all about. So have a look at my About the Concept page to learn more...

And in case you didn't notice the links in the right and left columns, there are lots of way to keep up with other readers' contributions (and my own new pages):
