No Secret Ingredient Vegetable Soup

by Stan
(Texas)

If you've seen the movie Kung Fu Panda, you probably remember the line where Po's dad informs him there is "no secret ingredient" in his famous recipe soup.

This soup is like that! It's good, but you probably already have all you need to make it from the vegetables in your food pantry, thus proving there is no secret ingredient.

INGREDIENTS
1 can of corn
1 can of green beans
1 can of carrots
1 can of potatoes
1 can of tomatoes
1/2 can of tomato paste
A dash of salt
A dash of pepper

DIRECTIONS

You simply open up each can and empty the contents into a kettle (juice included). The juice from each can blends together nicely for a great soup.

Add in the 1/2 can of tomato paste to give the soup juices a consistent flavor, and throw in a dash of salt and pepper to taste and heat. Allow the soup to slow heat for best results. It's good, even without a secret ingredient.

Sounds Easy! NEW
by: Kathi

Thanks for your contribution, Stan. It certainly sounds easy to make... and fast. I'm not a huge fan of canned vegetables, so I'll have to try this one first to know if it appeals to me.

May I suggest to my readers that you look for "no salt added" veggies, to be healthier.

Thanks again, Stan!
