Tomato and Basil Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup cream
  • Mushrooms
  • Grated carrot
  • 2 good handfuls of basil
  • 300g of long strip pasta

Method:
Heat pot of boiling water and add olive oil. Put in pasta when water is boiling. In another pan, put in tomato paste, carrot, basil and mushrooms.

Let simmer for about 10 minutes. Then, add in cream and stir well. When lightly bubbling, take off stove top. When pasta is bubbling strain and serve. Pour sauce on top and decorate with thinly chopped basil leaves. Serves 4.

Maria, thanks so much for contributing your pasta recipe. One question for those of us who don't speak "Aussie" :)... is long strip pasta the same as fettuccine or spaghetti, do you know?
